Our Roots

John Loughman is the founder of NOBLE TECHNOLOGIES. He began his career as an operator in industrial wastewater treatment and has worked within the field ever since. He holds a Masters degree in Industrial Wastewater Treatment and has the distinction of obtaining the first Industrial Wastewater Treatment operator's license from the state of New Jersey. He has taught operators Industrial Wastewater Treatment at Rutgers University. John was responsible for the co-development, delivery and review of the Industrial Wastewater Operators Course, Rutgers University.


He is also an Associate Professor of Biology at Lehigh Carbon Community College. John developed and secured approval of the Introduction to Environmental Science course and Environmental Science Associates Degree Program at Lehigh Carbon Community College. He earned the Faculty Excellence Award from Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2015.


John was named PI for an NSF STEM Scholarship grant 2011-2017 and has served on NSF grant review panels.


John is also a member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition Research Collaborative Committee.
